Version 1 of what became Project X on this website was an outrageous assignment: design an impossibly large compound for a sovereign monarch who cannot be named, in a country that cannot be named.

A two-year intensive design process with the client began with the instincts catalogued on this webpage, and evolved into its final Project X form.
